- If your fridge or cold room is iced up it has a problem, start by switching it off to defrost (never use a sharp object to remove any ice).
- If you hear a hissing noise from inside your cabinet it is probably short on gas and there is a leak.
- If your fridge requires a gas top up every once in a while there is a leak, make sure the leak is found by the engineer.
- If the power to your fridge is tripped call out a qualified fridge engineer. It only happens when there is a problem.
- If the condenser is dirty and accessible make sure to brush it down with a small brush or nail brush, be careful the fins are razor sharp (make sure the fridge is switched when doing this).
- If your fridge is not working and the temperature is high switch it off and call out an refrigeration engineer. By switching it off you are preventing any further damage or extra costs.
- By having a maintenance contract you are prolonging the life span of your equipment.
- Air Conditionings most common problem is a dirty filter, if it looks dirty then call out an engineer to clean and to reset the fault.
- Fans - Does your fridge look like its working but the fan has stopped? The fan may require replacing.
- How economical are your fridges working? If your electrical bill is very high they may require maintenance.
